NIGERIA FIRST LADY APOLOGISES FOR THE EMBARRASSING VIDEO.

Lagos, NIGERIA: Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari on Wednesday apologised over a viral video that showed her arguing with her husband’s niece at the presidential palace. Buhari who was hosting a delegation of wives of politicians, urged them not to be distracted by social media, and instead continue the ‘good work you are doing in collaboration with my Future Assured Program’. “I used the opportunity to apologise for the embarrassment I might have caused my children, my immediate family members, well meaning Nigerians and the institution I represent, on the circulated leaked video clip,”  she posted on Instagram. The president’s niece, Fatima Mamman Daura, recently explained that she filmed the video herself in 2018 but denied circulating it. New York, U.S: Brooklyn-based creative arts company MSCHF took some Nike Air Max 97 athletic shoes, which sell for about $160, and gave them an upgrade.  These shoes now have a much higher price tag. The “Jesus Shoes ” come with holy water in the soles as well as a golden Jesus on a crucifix as a shoelace charm. They also feature a nod to the Bible verse Matthew 14:25, which refers to Jesus walking on water, on the side of the shoe and a drop of red ink on the tongue, meant to symbolize the blood of Christ. They are said to have red soles as well. The religious twist on the Nike sneakers was originally priced at $1,425, and the shoes sold out within a minute. They’ve since been listed on the resale shoe speculation site StockX , where they were at one point available for $4,000 . The price has dropped since then and currently stands a bit above $2,500. Junior middleweight Patrick Day has died from injuries sustained in his 10th-round knockout in Chicago on Saturday night, the boxer’s management company, DiBella Entertainment, announced on Wednesday. Boxer Patrick Day’s(LEFT) management team suffered a traumatic brain injury and is in “ extremely critical condition” after a 10th-round knockout Saturday night in his USBA super welterweight title fight against undefeated Charles Conwell in Chicago. SINGAPORE TO BECOME THE FIRST COUNTRY TO BAN ADS FOR DRINKS WITH HIGH SUGAR CONTENT.

Singapore, SINGAPORE: Singapore is set to become the first country in the world to ban ads for unhealthy drinks with high sugar content in what it says is the latest move in its ongoing "war on diabetes." The ban, which will apply to " the least healthy " sugar-sweetened beverages, will cover all media platforms including print, broadcast and online, said Edwin Tong, Senior Minister of State for the city-state's Ministry of Health. He told reporters at a press conference on Thursday that the decision was made after a "public consultation" in the form of a survey. Soft drinks, juices, yogurt drinks and instant coffee would all be affected by the new regulation, the ministry said in a press release. The ministry also says it will continue to gather consumer and industry feedback in the next few months, before announcing further details on its implementation next year. UNITED STATES STARTS TO PROHIBIT SALE & MANUFACTURE OF ANIMAL SKIN PRODUCTS.

San Francisco, U.S: On Saturday, the state became the first to prohibit the sale and manufacture of animal skins. The law, which goes into effect in 2023, will ban the creation of shoes, handbags and clothing from pelts, reported the San Francisco Chronicle . California Gov. Gavin Newsom also signed a bill restricting most animals from circuses, with the exception for cats, dogs and horses. “California is a leader when it comes to animal welfare and today that leadership includes banning the sale of fur,”  Newsom said Saturday. The ban will not apply to rodeos.
