Lissu also mentioned the incident of the journalist of Mwananchi Communications Ltd (MCL), Azory Gwanda, who today is on 39th day since he disappeared at the Kibiti region on the Eastern coast of the country while performing his duties.

"Tanzanians who have been using their freedom of opinion to give thought have been arrested and charged in court ...

... a Cadre of CHADEMA, Ben Saanane and the Mwananchi journalist (Azory Gwanda) have disappeared and no one knows where they are...

There is no inquiry or notice of their disappearance released by the government officials yet "

he said.

He said there has been a violation of human rights and good governance, while opposition leaders and activists were arrested and put in custody.
