GEORGE WEAH TO REDUCE HIS SALARY & ALTER 'RACIST' CONSTITUTION.

Liberian President George Weah said Monday he would seek to remove a “racist ” clause in the country ’ s constitution that restricts citizenship to black people , and pledged to take a pay cut in a dire economy. Liberia was founded by freed slaves from the United States in 1847 , who inserted the requirement into the constitution to create “a refuge and a haven for freed men of colour ”. Weah said in his first state of the nation address that he believed this restriction was “unnecessary , racist , and inappropriate for the place that Liberia occupies today in the comity of nations , ” as well as holding back business. Calling for that provision to be removed , Weah also called for the ban on foreign ownership on property to also be struck from the constitution via referendum. “No foreign investor… will be willing to make significant direct investments in our country if they cannot own property, ”  he noted. WILL GEORGE WEAH'S POLYGAMISM AFFECT HIS ADMINISTRATION?

George Weah, Liberia’s newly elected president and former soccer star is a dynamic person. He used his lack of education as a catalyst to climb higher; he returned to school and earned a bachelors and master’s degree to further his political aspirations. Now, as he has been sworn-in to take his seat as President of Liberia, there is some buzz about other aspects of his life. President-elect Weah has had several extramarital affairs, however, his “legal” wife is also due to take the seat of the First Lady or is she? Let’s examine the unique family dynamics of President George and Clar Weah. George and Clar Weah met at a U.S. branch of Chase Bank. HOW CHINA 'HUMILIATES' MUSLIMS IN THE XINJIANG PROVINCE.

From  THE ECONOMIST . This article appeared in the China section of the print edition under the headline : "One belt, one roadblock" Chinese officials describe the far western province of Xinjiang as a “core area” in the vast swathe of territory covered by the country’s grandiose “Belt and Road Initiative” to boost economic ties with Central Asia and regions beyond. They hope that wealth generated by the scheme will help to make Xinjiang more stable—for years it has been plagued by separatist violence which China says is being fed by global jihadism. But the authorities are not waiting. In recent months they have intensified their efforts to stifle the Islamic identity of Xinjiang’s ethnic Uighurs, fearful that any public display of their religious belief could morph into militancy. Xinjiang’s 10m Uighurs (nearly half of its population) have long been used to heavy-handed curbs: a ban on unauthorised pilgrimages to Mecca, orders to students not to fast durin

OBAMA'S SECRET PICTURE THAT COULD HAVE ENDED HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.

A journalist has released a photo of Barack Obama taken in 2005 claiming the picture could have ended his presidential campaign. Photojournalist Askia Muhammad released a photo earlier this week that shows the former president grinning next to the controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Taken in 2005 at a Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) meeting when Obama was a state senator, Muhammad told Fox News that he was pressured to keep the photo secret in case it damaged the politician’s future career. Farrakhan has been known to make both anti-semitic and homophobic remarks in the past which resulted in Obama having to denounce them during a presidential debate in 2008 in Cleveland. Asked why this picture has never been seen before, Muhammad explained: "I was honour bound immediately. The day the picture was taken, a staff member from the CBC called me and said that we have to have the picture back. I was taken aback and we talked and I agree

"SOME OF MY MINISTERS ARE NOT UGANDANS", SAYS PRESIDENT MUSEVENI.

Kampala, UGANDA: President Museveni says some of the members of his cabinet are not from Uganda. He named Julius Wandera Maganda, the State minister for East African Affairs as one of them. “Now, minister Maganda, strictly speaking I don’t regard him as a Ugandan…”  said Mr Museveni on January 23 during the East African Legislative Assembly meeting in Kampala. “…most likely, he is a Kenyan. At one time, they had a Vice President in Kenya called Moody Awori who has a brother [Aggrey Awori] who wanted to be President of Uganda but I defeated him.” Mr Maganda and Mr Aggrey Awori, who from 2009 to 2011 was Uganda’s minister of Information and Communication Technology, are from Busia, a border district with Kenya and 196 kilometres east of Kampala. SCIENTISTS DISCOVER OLDEST HUMAN FOSSIL OUTSIDE OF AFRICA.

A fossilized human jawbone discovered in Israel. The find may suggest that Homo sapiens first migrated out of Africa at least 50,000 years earlier than previously thought. Gerhard Weber, University of Vienna. Scientists have discovered the earliest modern human fossil ever found outside of Africa. The fossil, an upper jawbone with several teeth, was found at a site called Misliya Cave in Israel.  The jawbone is estimated to be 175,000 to 200,000 years old. The age was based on three separate, independent dating methods. The jaw belonged to a young adult of unknown gender. The finding suggests that modern humans left the continent at least 50,000 years earlier than had previously been thought.  "Misliya is an exciting discovery," said Rolf Quam, a Binghamton University anthropology professor and a co-author of the study. "It provides the clearest evidence yet that our ancestors first migrated out of Africa much earlier than we previously believed.

ASAMOAH GYAN RUBBISHES CLAIMS THAT HE USES JUJU AGAIST FELLOW PLAYERS.

Asamoah Gyan says he is not moved by persistent attacks by his detractors as he is more concentrated on giving his all for the Black Stars. The Stars captain took to his official Instagram page, Wednesday night, to rubbish allegations of him using black magic to destroy other players in the team to his advantage. The Kayserispor man has advised players, who go round spreading those false allegations, to spend time, work hard and improve because he, Gyan, won’t stoop so low to use black magic on players that are not on his level. ”A player will say he is not progressing because his teammate cast a spell or used Juju (black magic) [on him]. But that player should ask himself if he has more qualities than whoever he is [accusing], ”  Gyan said furiously. ”For example, if I want to do something [use black magic] on somebody then the person should be higher than me not someone who’s not at my level.” He added; ”People think I will be distracted when they accuse me but am mo

MORE PEOPLE HAVE LOANS THAN JOBS IN SOUTH AFRICA...!!!

From  THE ECONOMIST MAGAZINE . This article appeared in the Middle East and Africa section of the print edition under the headline "Keeping up with the Khumalos" SOUTH AFRICANS have dubbed this month “Janu-worry”. After Christmas and the summer holidays come the bills. A popular classified-advertising website is full of pleas for help. “Mashonisa [loan shark] urgently needed,” says a typical post. “No scammers.” Radio call-in shows offer catharsis and survival tips. The rest of the year is tough on pocketbooks too. South Africans are the world’s most avid borrowers, according to the World Bank. A study published in 2014 showed that 86% had borrowed money in the previous year (see chart). Most borrow from friends or family, but an astonishing 25m out of about 37m adult South Africans owe money to financial institutions or other corporate lenders (such as utilities or shops that allow them to buy now and pay later). To put that in context, fewer t
