Ugandan musician Moses Ssekibogo, best known as Mowzey Radio of the Goodlyfe Crew is dead.
Mr Balaam Barugahara, an events promoter told this reporter that Radio died Thursday at about 6am.
Radio died at Case Hospital in Kampala where he had been admitted after reportedly being beaten into coma following a fight at De Bar, a local hang-out spot in Entebbe town last week.
Radio sustained the injuries at Sky Lounge in Kololo where he was reportedly involved in a bar fight with one of the bouncers who beat him up to the extent that he fell and hit his head on the floor thus breaking his neck.
He was then rushed to Nsambya Hospital where doctors declined to admit him because the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was full.
His friends then transferred him to Case Clinic on Buganda Road, Kampala where he was undergoing treatment.
Radio (born Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo) on 1 January 1985 (age 33) also known as 'Mowzey Radio' was was one of the main performers of the Ugandan music group Goodlyfe Crew with Chameleone's brother Weasel.
Radio released his first solo song , "Sweet Lady" when he was still in Leone Island. He began as a backup singer along with Weasel, behind Jose Chameleone.
Following disagreements between Chameleone and the pair, they quit the group and formed Goodlyfe Crew. That group was successful.
He made music collaborations with musicians such as Rabadaba in a single "Ability" alongside Weasle, a song that was produced by Just Jose.
