KING MSWATI III 8TH WIFE COMMITS SUICIDE FOLLOWING 'ABUSE'.

Senteni Masango, the eighth wife of the last absolute monarch in Africa has committed suicide. She was found dead early on Friday morning.

Masango took over 40 amytriptyline capsules which resulted in a fatal overdose, the drug is also known as Elavil and is used in the treatment of a number mental illnesses, including major depressive disorder and lack of attention disorder.

Her suicide comes less than a week after the burial of her sister Nombuso Masango.

The king allegedly forbade Masango from attending her sister's burial and memorial.

For the past three years, she has lived alone in a big mansion without a single visit from the king. In September last year, the king unveiled his new bride, 19-year-old Siphelele Mashwama. She is the daughter of Jabulile Mashwama, a Swaziland Cabinet minister.
Mashwama became the king's 14th wife although there are some reports that he has 15 wives.

King Mswati’ birth name is Makhosetive Dlamini, which means "king of nations" and ascended to the throne when he was just 14-years-old. Due to the fact that he was still in school his father's wives, Queen Dzeliwe Shongwe and Queen Ntombi Tfwala ruled as regent in his stead.

Mswati has been criticised for his lavish and excisive lifestyle by the media while his people live in poverty.
The 2014 budget allocated $61 million (R733 million) to the king's annual household. 63% of Swazi's live on less the $1.25 a day (R15).

The handwritten note left by Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart, 68, the eldest of Fidel Castro’s children, appears to confirm the longstanding rumor in Cuba that Fidel Castro fathered Justin Trudeau after a public tryst with Margaret Trudeau in 1970. “ Castro Diaz-Balart, who had been attended by a group of doctors for several months due to a state of profound depression, committed suicide this morning ,”  Cubadebate website reported. The death of the high-profile government nuclear scientist, also known as “Fidelito”, or Little Fidel, because of how much he looked like his father, stunned the nation, however it is his “ explosive ” suicide note that has set tongues wagging in Havana. Amid a wide-ranging barrage of compl...

MALARIA VACCINE PROVES HIGHLY EFFECTIVE IN BURKINA FASO.

A vaccine against malaria has been shown to be highly effective in trials in Africa, holding out the real possibility of slashing the death toll of a disease that kills 400,000 mostly small children every year. The vaccine, developed by scientists at the Jenner Institute of Oxford University, showed up to 77% efficacy in a trial of 450 children in Burkina Faso over 12 months. The hunt for a malaria vaccine has been going on the best part of a century. One, the Mosquirix vaccine developed by GlaxoSmithKline, has been through lengthy clinical trials but is only partially effective, preventing 39% of malaria cases and 29% of severe malaria cases among small children in Africa over four years. It is being piloted by the World  Health  Organization in parts of Kenya, Ghana and Malawi. The Oxford vaccine is the first to meet the WHO goal of 75% efficacy against the mosquito-borne parasite disease. Larger trials are now beginning, involving 4,800 children in four countries. APPLE LAUNCHES CHEAPER iPHONE WITH THREE CAMERAS.

Apple has revealed the first Pro twist on its best-selling iPhone range, the iPhone 11 Pro, which is available in two sizes – 5.8-inch, and 6.5-inch. Those are exactly the same screen sizes seen on the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced the iPhone 11 Pro on-stage, lavishing praise on its "all-new design," which seems like a stretch to us. From the outside, the iPhone 11 Pro looks almost  identical  to its predecessor – save for the new square-shape camera cut-out which houses three new cameras and a brighter LED flash. Like the iPhone XS and XS Max before it, the iPhone 11 Pro uses surgical-grade stainless steel for the chassis – instead of aluminium seen on the more affordable Apple iPhone 11. As with its predecessor, the front and the back of the handset are glass to enable wireless charging.  However, Apple has created a new textured matte finish for the glass on the rear panel to give the handset a new feel in the hand.
