Saudi political analyst called “Mujtahid” and who is well known for leaking exclusive information about the Saudi royal family via social media has exposed that Saudi Arabia is buying drones from Israel through South Africa.
According to the twitterwhistleblower, Saudi Arabia had announced that it is building a drone plant in cooperation with South Africa, but that is only a guise to hide the clandestine purchases of aircraft from Israel.
Tweeting about the scandals of the Saudi royal family since 2000, “Mujtahid” wrote in a series of remarks on Wednesday
“"The report aims to hide the fact that Saudi Arabia intends to purchase drones from Israel via South Africa.”
“"The report aims to hide the fact that Saudi Arabia intends to purchase drones from Israel via South Africa.”
The Saudi analyst assured that the official report released by the Saudi Defense Ministry according to which the kingdom would build a drone factory in collaboration with South Africa is false.
In a description to the mechanism developed to carry out the deal, “Mutahid” further noted
"Saudi Arabia buys Israeli drones through South Africa. These drones later arrive from South Africa, dismantled, to Saudi Arabia, where they are assembled.”
“This deal not only means that the Saudi deputy crown prince and Defense Minister, Mohammad bin Salman, committed fraud by lying to the Saudi people, but it also paints him as a traitor who is serving Israel's interests by purchasing its drones,”
According to the analyst.
According to the analyst.
Despite their differences, Israel and Saudi Arabia share common views on some of the pressing regional issues as they both want regime change in Syria, with Saudi Arabia strongly backing the terrorist groups; both see Iran as their main geopolitical rival.
According to sources back in 2013, one associate of Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, leaked to the press that Israel is coordinating policies with Saudi and Gulf representatives to prevent the US from easing-up on Iran’s nuclear program.
There have been frequent media reports on meetings between representatives of Saudi Arabia and Israel during the past years and there have even been claims that the Saudis are ready to provide Israel with an air corridor and air bases for rescue helicopters, tanker aircraft and drones (unmanned aircraft systems – UAS) in case Israel decides to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities.
Since the beginning of 2014, representatives from Israel and Saudi Arabia have had five secret meetings. This relation between the two regimes continues under the pretext of fear of Iran, even though it has become clear that Iran does not seek nuclear arms and does not constitute a threat to the region or the world.
Shortly before the nuclear deal was sealed between Iran and the West, US President Barack Obamaacknowledged that the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, has issued a fatwa (religious verdict) against the development of nuclear weapons.
"Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons, and President Rouhani has said that Iran would never develop a nuclear weapon," Obama said.
Also, Iran has frequently assured its program is and will remain to be peaceful. Iranian FM Mohmmad Javad Zarif assurednumerous times that
“the international community can rest assured that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful and will remain, so because it is in our interest that that program should remain peaceful, it should be in their interest that that program should run transparently out in the open in a facility under the supervision of the IAEA.”
